and is one of the oldest Masonic Lodges in England
during the reign of King George III

Our Lodge welcomes men of good character from all backgrounds. Candidates must be able to affirm a belief in a Supreme Being and be aged 18 or over, in accordance with UGLE membership criteria.

Freemasonry is underpinned by four core values: integrity, friendship, respect, and service. These principles help members build character, form lifelong friendships, and make positive contributions to their communities

Charity is central to our work. As members of UGLE-recognised Freemasonry, we support both Masonic charities and other good causes, including efforts to relieve poverty, promote wellbeing, and strengthen communities.
about us
Welcome to Lodge No 87
Modern Freemasonry in England traces its origins to the traditions of operative stonemasons and the early Grand Lodge founded in 1717. Vitruvian Lodge No. 87 continues this heritage through fellowship, personal development, and charitable endeavour under the governance of the United Grand Lodge of England.
